From November 1–3, 2024, the Women of Color and Capital (WOCXC) Conference, powered by Avant-Garde Network, gathered women investors, real estate professionals, and business leaders in New York City for its 6th annual conference. With the theme “Empower, Invest, Grow: Pathways for Women Investors,” WOCXC offered an immersive experience focused on financial strategies, investment opportunities, and wealth-building tools tailored to women.
Over three days of masterclasses, expert panels, and networking sessions, attendees gained actionable insights on career advancement, real estate investing, securing capital, and navigating investment opportunities. The conference also offered virtual participation, ensuring broad access to knowledge and mentorship across the country.
“Our mission is to close the wealth gap by equipping attendees with actionable strategies to succeed as investors, real estate professionals, and business owners,” said Adeola Adejobi, Founder and CEO of WOCXC. “This year’s conference provided women the tools, resources, and connections to unlock capital and create meaningful community impact.”
Leading the Way with Industry Partners
The 2024 WOCXC Conference was made possible through strategic partnerships with leading organizations including Bank of America, Carta, New York University, Lowenstein Sandler, and KeyBank. These partners engaged attendees through panels, workshops, and interactive sessions that highlighted investment strategies, career growth, and real estate development opportunities for women.
By bringing together financial institutions, investors, and industry leaders, the conference created a 360-degree approach to wealth-building—connecting knowledge, capital, and networks in ways that have a tangible impact on women’s economic advancement.
Driving Real Impact
The WOCXC community, now including thousands of professionals and investors nationwide, continues to fuel change in both finance and real estate. Many attendees have leveraged lessons, connections, and resources from past events to launch businesses, invest in development projects, and advance their careers.
Initiatives like “Fueling Dreams, Building Wealth”, hosted in Dallas, Washington, D.C., and NYC, and the WOCXC Elevate & Invest Meet-ups in Atlanta and New York City, complement the conference by providing ongoing opportunities for mentorship, deal-making, and community-building.
A Continued Commitment to Equity and Opportunity
Through programs like WOCXC, AGNF continues to bridge the gap between opportunity and access, ensuring women are positioned to lead, invest, and succeed in finance, real estate, and business.
